Whole Dog Journal 2007 Editor's Choice! Force is Honest Kitchen's delicious offering for adult dogs who are intolerant of grains. Force is a dehydrated raw dog food, formulated with moderate protein, higher fat and total calories, with a moderate level of carbohydrates.
Force dog food is made from 100% human food grade chicken, organic flaxseed, potatoes, celery, cabbage, sweet potatoes, zucchini, green beans, apples, honey, alfalfa, kelp, yogurt, bananas, papayas, basil, garlic, rosemary, vitamins and minerals.
All of Honest Kitchen's dehydrated raw dog food products are formulated to meet the AAFCO nutrient profiles for dogs and you don't have to add anything (other than water) to make them 'complete'. However, the original idea behind these diets was as a base for a raw or other home made diet and to facilitate that, they are somewhat 'lite' in terms of fat and protein, so that your own choice of raw, or cooked, meat can be added, if desired. Half to one cup of extra meat or other ingredients may be mixed in with each cup of food, once hydrated.

Dehydrated Raw Dog Food Hydration Amounts
The Honest Kitchen's dehydrated foods must be hydrated with warm water, before serving. Each 10 pound resealable bag of food will make just over 4 times its weight in fresh food, when hydrated. Honest Kitchen foods hydrate as follows:
4 lbs: Holds about 16 (Verve) to 17 (Embark, Force & Thrive) cups. Makes about 16 to 17 lbs of fresh food.
10 lbs: Holds about 40 (Verve) to 43 (Embark, Force & Thrive) cups. Makes about 40 to 43 lbs of fresh food when hydrated.
Feeding Guidelines
The following daily amounts (DRY quantity) should be adjusted to suit your individual dog's requirements, which vary according to age, breed and level of daily activity.
Up to 10 lbs....................................1/2 Cup
Up to 30 lbs.................................... 1 Cup
Up to 50 lbs.................................... 2 Cups
Up to 70 lbs.................................... 2 1/4 Cups
Up to 90 lbs.................................... 2 3/4 Cups
A full standard US Measuring Cup of dehydrated food (which is 8 oz by volume or 4 oz by weight) will hydrate to make about 1lb of fresh food.

"Song and I are just back from the Rhodesian Ridgeback National Specialty at Southfork Ranch, Dallas, TX. I just can't say enough about Force. The 10 lb box held enough Force and a bunch of treats for my 8 month old pup to last for 2 weeks. The box fit so nicely into the trunk of my car. Best part, of course, was that with 9 days of travel and 5 days in a strange place for Song, she had no stomach upsts, no loose stools, etc. She LOVES Force, and it is so good for her. Her coat glistens and her teeth ar white."
