Celebrate Senior Pets

Young At Heart Pet Rescue was formed in 2005 to aid in the rescue and rehoming of older dogs and cats in the Chicagoland area. Young At Heart rescues animals from municipal pounds and from the homes of elderly persons who must transition into assisted care or those who have passed away leaving their beloved older pets behind.

In addition to finding homes for senior dogs and cats, Young At Heart seeks to educate the public on the benefits of adopting older pets, and to decrease the euthanasia rate for older, adoptable dogs and cats.
