The idea with the Dog Trigger is, of course, that you and your dog have a fun and enjoyable time together. You demonstrate, your dog watches, listens and learns. Then it’s his turn. When introducing the Dog Trigger for the first time make it easy for your pup to understand the game by placing the treats close to the edge with the pegs behind. All your dog will need to do is move a peg in the right direction using his paw or nose to get the treats out through the hole on the side. 

Once your dog understands how to play with the Dog Trigger you can make it more challenging by gradually moving the pegs back toward the middle circle and allowing your dog to figure it out. Remember…do not let your dog bite the Dog Trigger. Play together and always supervise your dog.
