Nothing beats spending some quality time on the couch with our four legged friends. If your dog is a big snuggler, it can be a real treat to cuddle up and watch a dog themed movie with your pet right at your side. We're big movie buffs here at PupLife, so we are pleased to bring you our fail-safe list of favorite Dog Buddy Movies. 

Movies are the lingua franca of our times. Isn’t it interesting (and wonderful) that everyone in the house from kids to hubbies, and of course, our four-legged pals loves sitting down to a good flick?  When the weather turns frightful, we hope you’ll enjoy cuddling with your besties, the remote and our list of great movies that celebrate the relationship between humans and dogs. 

Here are our top 5 dog movie picks:

5 - Lady and the Tramp
Impossible love, The Notebook for puppies… Whatever you want to call it, this is a brilliant movie and a classic! It is the romantic tale of a sheltered Cocker Spaniel who lives with an upper middle class family and a streetwise, free-spirited mutt. The first Disney production to use the Cinemascope widescreen film process, it’s a feast for the eyes as well as the heart. 

4 - Marley & Me
This movie is so cute it will melt your heart (but, unfortunately, not the icicles hanging from the eaves).  The story revolves around an incorrigible yellow lab and the newlywed couple who adopt him. Marley’s misadventures are legendary but it’s impossible not to fall in love with him again and again.

3 - 101 Dalmatians
This film is a classic caper movie and sure to set your heart racing. The story revolves around iconic villian, Cruella De Vil, who kidnaps adorable dalmatian puppies for their fur the amazing canine and human rescue party that ensues. 

2 - Cats & Dogs
It doesn't get any better (or cuter) than this game of high-tech espionage waged between cats and dogs! The movie suggests that there is a top-secret war being waged between cats and dogs of which human-kind of completely unaware.

1 - Hachi: A Dog’s Tale
This movie will bring tears to your eyes and reminds us all of the true meaning of loyalty and friendship. Based on a true story of one man's bond with the abandoned dog he takes into his home. Poignant and beautiful, this film promises quality time for you and your puppy.
